online versions of the IIEE Magazine is available at the IIEE website for FREE

that's good savings for the organization...and convenience for the members with internet access...how can an IIEE Chapter officer justify the benefits of membership? how is the membership fee/money spent?

the organization is lobbying for the implementation of the EE law, which states that every building/facility must have an EE. this is not just to provide employment for EE but to ensure the safety of the premises itself.

most people do not know that EE is the child of the Fire Dept, the EE office is always under the Fire Protection Agency. EE makes sure that electricity will not cause fires in buildings.

i agree...NEC is also NFPA 70...in US, what about PEC?

the organization is lobbying for an EE in every building...is it successful in lobbying a licenced EE for every Fire Dept and OBO in every municipality?

how about ERC? there are non-EE's that are testing meters, inspecting utility's CPCN compliance, and investigating RA 7832 violations in this regulatory agency.

baka naman walang gustong mag-apply na EE sa ERC - alam mo naman ang gobierno, maliit ang delayed salaries nila. unless sundalo or polisi ka, malaki na ang sweldo, malaki pa ang ____ng.

IMHO, testing meters can be done by vocational technology grads. testing for PDC compliance ? pang EE dapat. ra 7832 violations? sa pulis iyan

which is why the implementation of ra 7832 is best left to law enforcers. utilities tend to abuse police power if given to them

IEEE has set technical standards for manufacturers worldwide.

the IIEE organization should remain focus on lobbying for an EE position in every municipality and fire department...an EE in every building does not exist in America where NEC (copied by other codes worldwide) is developed...

IEEE sets the standard for usa and usa territories only. the europeans previously used EN standards (plus now CE). now, there is an IEC standard that the country uses for many products, including electrical appliances. there are more than 70 countries are members, several more countries are affiliate members. members include Japan, members of the EU (UK, france, etc) and the usa (represented by ANSI and NEMA). the standards for power quality contained in the phil distribution code come from the IEC standard.

mas mabenta nga ang IEC standard contactors...mura na, madaling masira...sigurado pang may repeat order next year.
