What kind of analysis? Can you elaborate more. How can the analysis be done without reading/opening the message? The message must be retrieve first, parsed to analyze the contents. If you only need the sender, date/time sent, message center number, data coding, protocol id, etc. , the PDU sms format can give you these information. This is set by sending AT+CMGF=0 then reading the text message. The sms format sent by the GSM module will now be PDU. http://dreamfabric.com/sms/

our system is composed of 4 outlets and a panel...we need to turn on and turn off this outlet1,outlet2,outlet3,outlet4 using sms and a confirmation message will be sent into the registered number if the access is successful or not ...our problem are the ff: a)what particular microprocessor we will use? b)is different GSM module has different features?then which GSM module is fit for our system?
if you have ideas about our system please share it with us.. THANK YOU.....

A PIC16F876 could be used as a controller. For the GSM module, i think the one from egizmo is commonly used. Other components are also needed, such as triac or relays to control the outlets. You must decided/plan the maximum power per outlet. From this you can decide the parts to be used.
For the features, AT commands are used to send and receive SMS which is pretty much standard.
Another gotcha, is that working with AC power, glitches and EMI are common and causes havoc on your MCU. Proper grounding and PCB design should be considered on this project. Turning ON and OFF at AC zero crossing helps a lot also.

USB HSDPA modem + USB Host MCU (Vinculum) http://microcontrollershop.com/product_info.php?products_id=2559less than 1k nalang ang modems ngayon (Smartbro, tattoo) tapos $24.50 (2.5k?) yung MCU. so less than 5k pa din yun (e-gizmo gsm module). at least yung dalawang components ay pwedeng gamitin for other functions, di lang bilang GSM Module.
